Providing Gerontology Training for Tomorrow’s Geriatrics Care Providers

Improving the quality of care and services available to the growing population of older adults will mean offering gerontology training to more professionals to address the special needs of seniors. Our commitment to gerontology education is evident throughout Hebrew SeniorLife.

We train more experts in geriatric health care and allied professions each year than any other senior care facility in Massachusetts. Through our affiliation with Harvard Medical School and partnerships with other leading academic institutions in the Greater Boston area, more than 700 students participate in our gerontology education programs, or perform their clinical rotation, at Hebrew Rehabilitation Center each year.

Our educational initiatives underpin the success of our system of care. Gerontology training for new professionals, as well as current staff, ensures that our residents and patients receive the best care possible.

Founded in 1903, Hebrew SeniorLife, an affiliate of Harvard Medical School, is a nonprofit, non-sectarian organization devoted to innovative gerontology and geriatric research, senior health care, long-term nursing home care, and Greater Boston senior housing communities that improve the lives of older adults.
